Refurb Garmin Nuvi 1300LMT $69

Note the model

Lower 48 states, Hawaii & Puerto Rico only

Is this unit any good?

I saw this offer too and wondered if anyone with this unit would share their experience with us? I have a Nuvi 255W which is about 2 years old now. The reviews I have read on Amazon regarding the 1300LMT are not favorable.

Lifetime maps.

Linda, IMO the main thing you would gain with the 1300LMT over your 255W is the Lifetime Map subscription. Unfortunately it doesn't have lane assist which for me would be a "must have" if I was upgrading from a 2x5 series.

Now you are in here. Good choice that you are thinking about a new unit, since you do have issues with your 255W.

There are ways to eliminate that problem on a 1300. If I had the cash to spare however, I'd have gotten a 3790.

LOL

Maybe the new battery will fix everything. If not I may have to buy that 3790LMT at Walmart for $160...if they still have it. Thanks again for your help!
