Keeping the Windmill Alive - Your last trip? - September 2012

In danger of losing your windmill?

Maybe you can share with us the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you use it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.) Anything to keep your windmill alive.

This thread will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.

I hope you have some other method of checking your route. The 2 to 3 miles the Garmin displays normally as a maximum is good for about 80% of the time. I like a broad view of the planned day's journey just so I can verify the list of major roads I'll be using and where to expect cities and other facilities.

Foggy!

I drive a truck from a terminal about 25 miles from my home. Last night, there was patchy fog, and although I was only running 35 MPH, it was handy to have the GPS show me where the next curve was!

Helped out at the local HD Dealer's Open House Saturday leading the demo rides. Ran the same 6 mile route all day long.
