It has been a great August in the Pacific NW.
We have possum and skunks
My backyard is full of wildlife. I have trapped 3 skunks, 1 coon, 1 possum, a squirrel and a Tomcat this month.
What did you do when you trapped the skunks? How did you get them out of the trap?
We have trapped several racoons and take them 8 miles away and let them go and I wondered what would happen if a skunk got in the trap.

Wanted to live on the coast
y'all. Preparing for a more or less direct hit from Hurricane Isaac. Thankfully it will not be as severe as Katrina was but will be eerily occurring on its anniversary seven years later!

My backyard is full of wildlife. I have trapped 3 skunks, 1 coon, 1 possum, a squirrel and a Tomcat this month.
What did you do when you trapped the skunks? How did you get them out of the trap?
We have trapped several racoons and take them 8 miles away and let them go and I wondered what would happen if a skunk got in the trap.
Skunks are very tame animals. Just walk slowly toward the trap, holding a blanket in front of you. Cover the trap and wait until Mr. Skunk settles down. Load the trap into the pickup, blanket and all. Drive far far away, then stop and unload the trap & wait a little while. Open the trap door and back away, holding the blanket. The skunk will be in no hurry to leave. I have have trapped 7 of them and never had a squirter. Don't let a dog get near.
Our town has had quite a few skunks this year. One went into Wal-Mart back in May. An associate somehow thought he could chase it outside using a broom. The store was closed the rest of the day.

Wow, don't know if I could do this. Thank goodness for my husband that might, I did say might, try it. Hopefully we won't have to.

Made a trip to Spokane over the weekend and found the Garmin exceedingly helpful when visiting where you last visited a few years ago.
