Those of us living in the so-called "swing states" get candidate overload for months on end.

Not saying I want them here, but it's a bit humbling to be considered a state that is predictable / ignored.

Just a suggestion for GlobeTurtle

It would be nice for all post to have a like button like Facebook does.

I read several post I like but don't reply to them.
Would be nice to be able to click a button to say "Like" when someone says something neat.

Hi Mary~

I think the “like” button is a great idea. It’s something I would enjoy as well.
Unfortunately, as you and most of the long time members know, POI Factory suffered some disruption in the last couple of years as the site founders began the process of parting ways. Jonathan has done his best, with the help of the community, to keep things going but it hasn’t been easy.

As it stands now there is still a lot of catch up work to be done. Most of our time and resources are needed for day-to-day operations. We are gradually making progress towards freeing up time to work on improvements, but it will be a while before we get there.

I’m not trying to paint a bleak picture or dissuade anyone from making suggestions, I just want to be honest on where we are at. Jonathan and I both believe we can get the site to where it needs to be, it’s just going to take some time. So please continue to be patient with us. I read every comment on this site and am aware of what the community would like to see as far as site improvements. Those suggestions are not being ignored, I assure you we will get to them as soon as resources allow.

Thanks for understanding.

~Angela

Thanks for reading the suggestions. Shows you are on top of things even in your busy time. Sounds like you are very busy now. Didn't mean to put pressure, just a suggestion to keep in the back of your head just in case some day your and Jon should have time. I do know what it means to be busy even though I am retired. (grandkids, sewing, upholstering, painting, working on car) Well maybe my busy is fun!!!

Hope you enjoy your job here and don't worry about the suggestions. Nice to have you here and keeping the site up. It is a great site and we all enjoy it.

Thanks again and don't worry about the suggestion. Just came to my head while reading post.

You don't need to do a thing, while there maybe some improvements to done on the site and there will always will be new things to add, that's not the reason I keep coming back here, it's not even the fact that when I have a problem with the GPS, there will be someone here who knows the answer. The best thing for me is the way everybody gets along, very few bad comments, it's just a great group of people from all over the world.

I would love to have a party and invite you all(I'm dreaming), it would be great to put a face to all the posts. There would be a few surprises.

Right, because "Miller Time" is so 80's.

I've been poking round this site

I've been poking round this site, looking at the user list I found that there is 12872 pages and most have 20 users on each page which gives the site 257440 users.

That's huge, I never realized.

Another thing that has happened today, New Zealand has upset Australia, we are ahead of them in the Olympic medal count, go the Kiwis
