NUVI 3490 Calculation Problems

My NUVI 3490 just started taking forever to calculate routes. It has become terribly slow for no reason..
Has anyone experienced this or have a solution?

Do a hard reset AFTER backing up your Favourites. Especially if you've upgraded the map recently.

Traffic Trends.
Other users have reported that if Traffic Trends is enabled, the nuvi will become very sluggish in its operation. You could try disabling Traffic Trends.

Latest Update?
Do you think the last map update could be the issue? I was reading that some people were having routing complaints with the latest release. I've been holding with 2012.40 and v.6.20.

3490 & 3590
I own both the 3490 &3590 and have not experienced any slow down. I'm currently on the road and have a route from Chicago to gulf shores, Alabama and the re-calculations are immediate. Long routes is where you usually see slow downs and I haven't seen it.
backup your favorites and do a reset.
