American Tire

I have never heard of American Tire, is it owned by Discount Tires?

I'm not sure who owns who, but yea something like that. America's Tire isn't as big, I think. They were included in Discount Tire's store locator so I just included them in the POI.

american tire co

it's american tire co. in texas and aka discout tire in Cali (not to be confused with discount tire center). I thought they were the same when i moved to LA.

Name conflict

Their web site says that they were founded as "Discount Tire" in Michigan. But when they started expanding into other states, some states already had a competitor there with a similar name. So in those states, they named the stores "America's Tire" instead. Same company, same great service.
