JUST BOUGHT A GARMIN 2450LM. have D/L THE LATTEST MAPS.
My problem is Garmin and map quest yahoo want to run me into Tampa fl to pick up I75 NORTH.I Live west of Tampa. there a hwy.east lake that take me north then hit hwy 54 East to I 75. DO I make a rout or just go and let the bitch say make u turn. Or shut off the GPS till I get TO I75? THANKS bob

Please don't use foul language in your posts.
First of all, MapSource is a software program for your computer. It isn't something that is installed on the GPS unit.
Secondly, it's not clear to me what you are asking.
If you want to go to a destination, you can search for that destination and then press "Go" and let the unit route you to the destination.
Or you can create a route on that unit to have the route follow the path you wish.

I assume you have downloaded a users manual. If so look at page 13. If not, then go here for links.

The nuvi calculates routes based on preferences and avoidances. You might look at what is set and then change them to see if the turn by turn would then follow what you know to be the roads you would take.
Look at page 52 for some detail.
