What are you calling a "Bookmark?" That's normally a term used in web browsers.

"Favorites"??

If you are using the Firefox web browser, Firefox does make backups for you automatically.

Assuming this is the GPS you're referring to, don't try recreating the file. Instead, run Recuva and attempt to undelete it. Be aware however that even now it may be too late, depending on whether the file space allocated for the deleted CURRENT.GPX has been overwritten or not.

If the problem is with Firefox, you're probably screwed unless you set up Garmin Sync to maintain a backup of your links and your passwords.

I erased my browser bookmarks/favorites accidentally. I was looking to re-create my list, which, in the end, I did when I remembered another device. (non-Windows terminology removed.)

i literally have hundreds and hundreds of Bookmarks/Favorites in my browsers. They are great for when you're bored and want to revisit sites you've saved, but in reality Google searches are so good now that you hardly even need to save favorites anymore.
