Just wanted to see if anyone else has the Nuvi 2595LMT and what you thought about it compared with other GPS units you have owned in the past. I've had mine for about a week and like it so far. Occasionally though, it does lose bluetooth connection for no reason. Other than that it's working very well and I really like the voice command feature.

like mine a lot. Voice control does well. Had a 760 and the 2595 is a lot faster. My Iphone connects well to the bluetooth but if you leave your car, a a distance it will disconnect and I have to manually reconnect when I get back in my car. Like the lane assist on the maps and where you can switch dashboards. Now that I have the 5 inch screen I don't think I could go smaller again. All in all very impressed at this time.
I guess the one thing I left
I guess the one thing I left out is the safety cameras. The Cyclops program on the Garmin web site does not work with this unit. I might try the POI file available from this web site. Where I live, Long Island, the red light cameras are everywhere. I do love the 5 inch screen.
Thanks, Dave
bluetooth and red light camera notification ok
I'm using the 2495LMT which I believe is identical internally but with a 4" screen. Regarding previous comments:
1. If my bluetooth phone is within range when the gps exits sleep mode, the phone is recognized. If the gps is on when the phone comes into range, it takes a little time but the gps does connect. On those rare occasions when the gps does not connect, I turn the gps bluetooth off then on and get a quick connection. Very acceptable for me.
2. The POI Factory red light file works as it should.
I've very happy with the unit.
