nuvi 2595 and poi's showing on map...

First day with the 2595 and I have most (some) of it figured out...but...Is there a way to have the custom poi's show up on maps without all the pre-loaded poi's being visible? Thanks for any help!
Disappointed about this too
I have the 3490, and this has been bugging me from the beginning. I ended up just turning off the feature so I don't see any POIs. Bummer. There's a lot of unnecessary POIs popping up along my travels that don't pertain to my travels, and I'd rather not see them. So, if there's a way to make it happen so I can see just my POIs, I'd love to know too. I wish Garmin would have thought to put another layer level in there for this. Overall, though, I love the device.
