I'm trying to find a web site that shows only 2 lane paved roads taking a trip to VA. and then up around wisconsin. wanting to stay on 2 lane roads. leaving from Central Kansas Has anyone came across a web site like that? shortround62
when I plan a motorcycle trip I use small state highways and county roads...pretty easy to distinguish with GM.
Here's a place to start for Wisconsin:
Try this link for Virginia.
It is also worth noting that under "Get directions" in Google Maps if you click the "Show options" link there is a checkbox for "Avoid highways". I use that feature (and the "Avoid tolls" option) quite a bit. My TomTom also has similar route planning options.
Two lane roads are easy to pick out on a paper map, which are available by mail from each state. They are much better than the free AAA maps. I also prefer state & county highways for our trips.
Each road is like a box of chocolates.
