Welcome
to POI Factory.
When you use POI Loader, you must point it to the folder containing the CSV file(s), not the file itself.

Using CSV Files
I did exactly that. I have all the files in a folder. It shows and error and nothing goes to the Garmin except some GPX files in the folder.

Most of the files on this site are CSV files. You should have no problem getting POI Loader to load CSV files if they are properly formatted. Do a search on the site and you will find a lot of info on how to generate CSV files.
More Info
Popcorn73, can you give us a little more info. What version of POI Loader are you using? Are you using a PC or MAC? Are the CSV files you are trying to get to your GPS from here? What Garmin GPS are you trying to load to?
Like others have said, most of the files from here are in CSV format and load just fine to our GPS's. Once you give us more info, we can walk you thru it. If you do a search, there are articles from this site that explains it to the tee.

He started that question here http://www.poi-factory.com/node/34961
The csv files should work. Poi loader version 2.6.0 and above got more finicky on the files. There might be some file corruption.

Using CSV Files
I got POI editor and it changed the files to GPX. Now I get a "Transfer Error", so nothing gets in. I have the latest POI Loader, so that's not it. I was able to load GPX files before, but now, I get the transfer error on everything. I uninstalled the lOader and downloaded a new one.
Follow instructions then report.

Start by reading this FAQ

Inside the FAQ will be a link to POILoader. Please get a new copy and make sure it works by just starting it. Right click on the word "POILoader" in the upper left corner. From the drop down dialog, left click on "About POILoader" and report which version you have.
If you do not have any .wav files to load, you will not need to download SOX.EXE but it won't hurt. That executable must be in the same folder that contains POILoader.exe.
When you run POILoader, you will point it to the folder (repeat, folder) that contains that original .csv file that you want to load.
Using CSV Files
I had about 12 files in the folder. I loaded them one at a time. There was one file (super walmarts) that caused the error. All the others loaded fine. Thanks for all your help.
that must be an OLD file

DonaldB combined all the Wal-Mart files into a single file when he started maintaining it. There used to be 4 or 5 Wal-Mart files maintained by another user a couple of years ago depending on if they were Sam's, Wal-Mart, Super stores and had Gas.
