Almost done in by a Nuvi

Don't know if anyone here watches the AMAZING RACE, but I couldn't help but laugh at last night's finale.

The team at the head of the pack was lucky enough to get a cab driver who had a Nuvi (not sure the model) to give him directions to the pit stop where, if they arrived first, the team would win a million dollars.

The cabbie, guided by the Nuvi, got close to the pit stop, but apparently missed a turn and was stuck in a "recalculating" loop -- where the unit started searching for new routes and spitting out all kinds of weird directions to the frustration of the players.

I have been those players and my father who just got his unit, was trapped in just such a loop to his frustration this thanksgiving.

I know the unit can be a life saver, but sometimes it can be as frustrating as hell.

By the way the team eventually made it to the pit stop and won.
