Miss POI,

Still haven't heard any word on if they are planning to turn the RedLight Cams back on but I did find you some really good information. Sorry that these are not Cordinates but they are the Correct locations of ALL
the RedLight and Speed Radar Cams in Charlotte, NC.

Where are the red-light cameras?

Charlotte, NC uses cameras to help police officers ticket speeders and red-light runners. If those cameras snap a picture of your license tag, you'll soon find a $50 ticket in the mail. No license or insurance points are applied. The ticket is sent to the vehicle's registered owner. The intersections with red-light cameras have signs notifying drivers. And the cameras themselves are easy to spot. They're mounted on poles and enclosed in a long, cream-colored metal box.
Legislators approved the two types of cameras after police said they needed high-tech help to improve traffic safety.

The cameras are placed at intersections that have high crash rates due to red-light running. The county's crash rate is the third highest in the state and contributes to the high cost of insurance for many drivers.

The state legislature approved locations of radar cameras, operated by Charlotte-Mecklenburg police in a marked van. Portable signs are set up 1,000 feet from the vans, which move from place to place. The three cameras are operated 16 hours a day.

• Independence between Briar Creek Road and Sardis Road North

• W.T. Harris between The Plaza and Idlewild Road

• Tryon Street between Mallard Creek Church Road and University Boulevard

• Tryon Street between Orr Road and 36th Street

• Eastway Drive between Independence and Sugar Creek Road

• W. T. Harris between Tryon Street and Technology Drive

• Albemarle Road between Independence and Lawyers Road

• Central Avenue between Albemarle and Briar Creek

• Monroe Road between Sardis Road North and Wendover Road

• Providence Road between McKee Road and Providence Country Club Drive

• N.C. 51 between Park and Alexander roads

• Sharon Amity Road between Lyttleton Drive and W.T. Harris Boulevard

• Billy Graham Parkway between Interstate 85 and Woodlawn Road
