Keeping the Windmill Alive - Your last trip? - December 2011

In danger of losing your windmill?

Maybe you can share with us the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you use it to seek out special places to go. (Like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.) Anything to keep your windmill alive.

This thread will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.

Factory GPS Woes

I had to send my Kenwood indash (garmin gps) back for repair as it wasn't reading DVD's.

I used my OEM factory Lincoln Nav for my trip to the US of A. GPS took me back to a Nexxus ONLY border crossing and multiple times it took me ways tha tI couldn't turn due to traffid restrictions or islands in the road.

I can't wait to get my garmin back.

Use it constantly!

Biggest recent trip was 2400 miles R/T to visit family for Thanksgiving. It's a Garmin Nuvi 5000 with bakup camera fed into it. Used the trip feature to monitor progress and counted on it to plan gas stops, rest stops and find the hotel. Use it daily in South Florida mainly for the traffic info (not always accurate) and to keep the backup camera ready to go!

Midwest

Took a trip down to Peoria to pick up a new puppy. Garmin took me right to the rural kennel. Nice job.
