How do I install an mp3 file that I found here onto the Garmin?

(PS I tried the index and the Garmin Nuvi Tips and Tricks website but could not find what I needed.)

I have to assume you are wanting alerts with the poi files.
Also need to know what nuvi you are using because the newer ones use .wav files.

If it turns out you need to convert the .mp3 files you have found to .wav files (as pwohlrab has indicated, many of the newer models do not have a .mp3 player), then use the free program Audacity found at http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

205 will not play mp3

Your user account shows you have a Nuvi 205.If you are trying to get voice alerts for it.You will need sox.exe and wav files for it to work. See http://www.poi-factory.com/node/25730
