Garmin 2350 LMT ($139 this week at Academy)

I'm still waiting for the 2460LMT, hopefully on Cyber Monday I can get a good deal. I refuse to participate in the madness on Black Fridays.

I just bought mine a few weeks ago for $156.00 from BuyDig, and thought it was a good price (Amazon was $171.99 & Sears was $269.00). Was going to wait until Black Friday and see what kind of deal I could get then, but needed it sooner. Yes, prices are dopping.

I had never heard of Academy before. I ordered a 2350LMT for $140 three days ago and it arrived today. I will have to keep my eye on this company. They were better than Amazon by $25.

It would be nice to have the lifetime maps; worth going from 765t to 2350 LMT?

That is kind of hard to answer not knowing how you use your GPS. You would be giving up bluetooth and the MP3 player. If you don't use these feaures it probably doesn't matter. You would exchange the conventional routing engine on the 765T for the Trip Planner with myTrends and Traffic Trends. Some users would consider that an upgrade, others a downgrade.

If you like your 765T and it is still in good shape, it is worth considering a lifetime map subscription for it. If you watch the sale prices, you can sometimes find it for under $70. There will likely be some bargains on the lifetime maps as we approach Black Friday and other holiday sales.

They are offering it for 139 plus 5 shipping, amazon wants 149 free shipping. Any experience with Academy? I have done returns with Amazon and no issues. But I did place an order from Amazon last week and it took 3 days before they shipped. Anyway is 144 to 149 still a fair price for this?

Academy is a legitimate sporting goods store chain in some areas. Brick and mortar locations all over the DFW area.

Admittedly I have not ordered from them online.
