Mr. POI

@jgracey

Yup. I'm not as cute or funny, but that's pretty much the short version of the story smile

MaryAnn (aka Miss POI) and I have worked together since starting the site back in 2006.

Hi

Hi

Harry Wednesday -

Good Grief!! I'm usually on page 2. Oh well, that's what I get for being so slow.

Hope everyone had a good week end and are having a good first week of Fall. The weather here in Sacramento has been cool, hot, cool, hot, I'm getting dizzy on this roller coaster. I just want it to be cool and stay that way.

Have a great rest of the week and, please, take care of each other.

Happy week...

Just got back from a gig/trip to Yellowstone. All those POIs I loaded years ago came in handy!

And I went 556MPH... mrgreen rolleyes

Just another day…

Just another lousy day in paradise (Northern California), but it's something I'm willing to endure.

It's raining today

Here in the Laurentian mountains north of Montreal.

GPS works great. It got us to the grocery store and to the state owned wine and liquor store just fine...

Garmin does need a category of wine and spirits in it's "Points of Interest" category.

The sun finally came out. A

Weather is South Texas

Rain clouds in Corpus Christi(rain 15" below normal) and highs next week only in the 80's. We finally are getting a break!

Cooldown

We're supposed to be getting a "cool" front through Flori-duh this weekend. Highs around 85 rather than 90. confused Lower humidity, too. That will be a nice change.

Go Tigers, Beat Yankees !

Looking forward to baseball playoffs this year. Detroit Tigers don't get here too often, so each time is special.

Tigers won regular season series over Yankees, 4 games won & 2 games lost, but last played May 5 (almost 5 months ago).

Best Tiger team in a while, with some good mid-season acquisitions (Fister, Young, Betemit). Probable Cy Young winner in Justin Verlander (24-5), and batting average leader Miguel Cabrera (0.344).

October Already?

I have no idea where March through September have gone. Too busy to do much recreational activities, except for an occasional day or two off to spend time with the family. At least I'm riding my bike more. Bike, as in bicycle, a '90 Schwinn World Sport 12-speed (converted to 14 speed because the rear derailleur needed to be replaced and couldn't find an original 6 gear unit).
