Hiccups

I noticed on this trip to CA, my garmin 1490 voice will hesitate so it sounds like some hiccup. I recently updated the maps but is anyone else having that issue?

For example, it will say "turn right on Hap" "py boulevard"

remedy for hiccups

After turning it on, try and surprise it by saying "boo"

Slow Processor?

The processor may not be fast enough to manage everything you're asking of it. Are you using 3D views? Max detail? Large number of POI files? Try a few simpler settings. It may help.

Something to do with available memory?

I have this same problem from time to time and it seems to help if I delete several unused Favorites, which seem to accumulate. It may have something to do with available memory.
