Can the Garmin maps be run on an SD Card? If they can, how do you load them? Garmin support said it could be done but I wasn't near my computer at the time. I don't remember seeing an option to update to SD when running the Map Update. Are there more choices if you run it manually?
Thanks for any help...

Exactly what I needed... thanks for the help.
How to move the maps from Internal memory to the SDHC card:
On your SDHC card create a folder named Garmin, and put into that folder the following files:
1.gmapsupp.img (really large file)
2.gmapbmap.img
3.gmaptz.img
4. GMAP3D.img
5. file ending with .JCV
The gmapsupp.img is the same file as gmapprom.img
When stored in the Nuvi's internal memory it is called gmapprom.img and when stored on the SDHC card it is called gmapsupp.img
It is simply changing the file's name.

What kind of computer?
If you are using a Mac, you have to delete the invisible MacOS files that are automatically written to the card.
