Raising the volume on a 660 nuvi??

Can anybody tell me how to set the volume louder than the usual 100%? I had sent one to some one and they internaly adjusted the volume level so the unit can be heard over the big diesel motor.

Jan, did you try to edit the .vpm, or the .sum file? The .vpm is the one you want.

Assume your using Turbocc TTSVoiceEditor and if so on the right hand side of the screen just below the icon menu items are "Voice Parameters" which include Rate and Volume. Move the Volume slider up to say 80 and then save the voice file you are modifying (see How To section on the webpage) and copy it to the Nuvi. You should see increased volume. You can turn it up to 100 but that sometime distorts the voice.
