Wal-Mart_Canada.gpx will not work with Poi Loader ver 2.6.1.0

I get a Poi Loader error message when I try to Wal-Mart_Canada.gpx from http://www.poi-factory.com/node/4307 (Wal-Mart & Wal-Mart Supercenters in Canada one file).

what was the message.

Please do another run of POILoader with that file, write down the error message, and then post it.

.

The error message is "There was an unexpected error during the creation of the custom POI file".

Mapsource can't read the GPX file either. EPE reads it just fine. If it is saved as a .csv file, then POI loader reads it just fine.

.

Delete the current POI file with the loader. Then, after the loader restart, load it again. That worked for me on XP Pro.

Bad Longitude Value

The entry for Wal-mart - Oshawa has an invalid longitude value. It's missing the decimal point (reads lon="-78845355").

It's buried way down near the end of the file, but if you load it into Notepad (not Wordpad) you could do a search and add the decimal.

..or notify the owner, but I'll go ahead & do that.

It's about the Line- If a line can be drawn between the powers granted and the rights retained, it would seem to be the same thing, whether the latter be secured by declaring that they shall not be abridged, or that the former shall not be extended.

Nice work

.....

A tip of my hat to you for finding that JD4x4.

I don't have that error on the latest update from March 23rd. Just checked in EPE, and it's ok. Store 1056, right?

Wal Mart Error

I don't have an error on my Garmin 1450 downloaded the file 3/23/2011.

The error

This is the POI file being discussed:

http://www.poi-factory.com/node/4307

As of a few minutes ago the date of last update is 01/07/2011

I opened it with notepad and searched for 78845355

The error is there and store number is #3161

There are four stores with Oshawa in the name.

Yes, Store 3161

Sorry, I didn't realize there were 4 of them with that name. Yes, it's store number #3161 as well.

I found that by validating the file (downloaded last night) using XML Notepad, by the way. Being able to validate each document instance with it's schema is one of the reasons I like SGML/XML formats.
