question about garmin mobile xt maps

Hi all,
I have garmin xt on my windows mobile phone, and also have a nuvi 765t with lifetime map updates. Is it possible to copy the maps from my nuvi to my mobile xt? Thanks in advance!

The maps are tied to the device they are installed on and cannot be moved.

It is definitely possible to update your Mobile XT setup. But you would either need a new lifetime account or a one time code to be able to add the Mobiel XT device to your Garmin Mapsource mapinstall. I have done that before, and can basically make a new mapfile for mobile XT by selecting the desired maps and letting the application copy them to the SD card that has Mobile XT installed on it.
There is no way (that you know of) to just copy the actual map file between devices using Windows.
