TeleNav GPS is free for 30 days for Verizon Wireless iPhone users. After 30 days you choose to pay as you go for $2.99 for 30 days or $21.99/year.
Pricing looks pretty good.... especially the 1 year.
CDMA on Verizon
There is only one problem with Verizon CDMA 3G technology -- it cannot do voice and data at the same time. If this app needs to make a data request and a phone call/text comes in, data will be put on suspend and the map will disappear until the call is completed.
This limitation has nothing to do with iPhone, it is all to do with CDMA technology.
Besides, Google Maps is free on iPhone, and I might say, it works pretty good. The GPS on iPhone 4 is not crippled like other VZW smartphones.
