how do i manually send an ov2 file to my tomtom

I have read the forum and created a ov2 file. I now want to get it on my tomtom xl 350. I dont want to upload it to the tomtom server because the poi's in the file are private. Anyway to send this file to only my device?

Just copy the file

I'm assuming that you have a Windows computer. When you connect the TomTom to your computer, it will be assigned a drive letter and you can access the flash memory as if it were a flash drive. I usually let the TomTom Home application apply any updates, then before ejecting I just copy the files to it.

You need to put the OV2 (and associated BMP) in the same directory as the map that you are using. For one of my TomTom's it is \USA_Canada_and_Mexico_P, and the other \United_States.
