I would like to learn how to install a PO L. file into my GPS which is a Garmin 1490t
I do know how to update my GPS what I would like to learn is how to install and fine the file that I downloaded to my GPS the files that I would like to install and add a icon to
restaurants
gas station I do a lot of RVing
rest areas stuff like that any help would be much appreciated a hope I explained this well enough for people to understand

Here is a outline to do custom pois with or with out categories http://www.poi-factory.com/node/25721 .You will need sox.exe and wav files if you plan to have voice alerts.
When you download the custom poi files from the site you want.A file list will be generated in My Favorite Files located top right.Once a file is updated by the author it will show in red.The redlight and speed cameras are posted every Wednesday.These are separate from My Favorite Files.
