Proximity Alerts

Is it possible to turn promimity alerts (audio) on and off for different categories of Custom POI's on the 1490T. I know that it is possible to turn then on or off completely - but is there a way for there to shut off an alert for Custom POI restaurants but leave the alerts on for Rest Areas - and then be able to turn them back on again from the Garmin not go back to POI loader. Also - is there a "silent" audio alert that will still allow an alert to come up on the screen as text?

I guess the silent alert will do it and as long as the text would come up on the screen it will work for me.

You would need to reload the Custom POI files with POI Loader and include the alert sound file or eliminate the silent file and let Garmin use its own sound alert.
