First off, a hard reset. Make a copy of your Current .GPX file first.

Second, which version of the maps are you using and where is that location so we can see if it happens with other units?

Two thoughts

1-The car-in-a-field issue is most likely a mapping issue. Was there recent construction that altered the location of the roadway? (If you have the current and old map on your computer and viewable through Mapsource, go to that area and swap between maps to see if the roadway's moved. Or...give us the location and we can try to answer this for you.) This is an issue that may be corrected in future map updates.

2-A GPS self-reboot after a map update may indicate the need to do a "hard reset." See:

it's in my favorites, a list of state scales in US.

Favorites

It sounds like you are wanting to delete just certain entries under Favorites, or are you wanting to delete ALL Favorites?

My Data

According to page 38 of the Owner's Manual:

"Touch Tools>My Data to manage and delete your saved data, such as your Favorites."

look for a file

On your unit, look for all the files with a .GPX extension. These are normally in the Garmin folder and may or may not be in the GPX folder. If one pops out at you such as one with 'Scale' in the name, deleting this file should fix that problem. Otherwise list the files on your unit with a GPX extension and we may be able to tell you which one(s) can be safely deleted.

So much for a road "moving." I checked the current map vs. the previous 5 map versions and the Interstate and exit ramp is in the same location for each map. Your vehicle appears to be in the field with the current map but not previous maps then for a different and unknown reason.

Corn or soybeans? Oh wait, that shouldn't matter to Garmin...
