Poutine POI?

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone is working or had the idea of working on a Poutine POI for Quebec (primarily) and other provinces/states.

My gf is a big poutine fan and we would love to be able to add this type of POI to our GPS.

I did a search and found the Hot-Dog POI, which is similar, but not quite what I'm looking for.

Thanks,
V

I love it

What a great idea (even though I only dare eat it 1-2 times a year--not a big problem here in Arizona).

I've seen it on the menu nowhere in the States but can say that there's a fast food restuarant in Hope BC that serves it--also the A&W in Whitehorse, YT. Yes, it goes well with root beer.

What is it?

per Wikipedia

Poutine (Quebec French pronunciation [putsɪn] is a dish consisting of French fries topped with fresh cheese curds, covered with brown gravy or sauce and sometimes additional ingredients.[1]

Poutine is a diner staple which originated in Quebec and can now be found across Canada. It is sold by national fast food chains (such as New York Fries, and Harvey's), in small "greasy spoon" type diners (commonly known as "cantines" or "casse-croûtes" in Quebec) and pubs, as well as by roadside chip wagons. International chains like McDonald's,[2] A&W,[3] KFC and Burger King[4] also sell mass-produced poutine in Canada.

I'm a fan of poutine myself,

I'm a fan of poutine myself, which begs the question. Is this POI going to consist of places that make it in the authentic manner, or the mass produced crud?

BTW, one of my best friends in New Brunswick makes the most awesome homemade poutine. smile
