Not as Cold -

Here in Northern CA it is warmed up a little bit. Not freezing at night any more.

Hope all had a good Thanksgiving with family and friends.

Take care of each other and have a great rest of the week.

Christmas is near.

Christmas is near.

Anyone fought the Black Friday crowds?

I had to work. Just as well, I don't need to spend anymore money.

Ho-ho-ho...

Only 23 shopping days left until Christmas...

As Miss POI Is Aware

Here in Boise, we have had snow on the ground for a couple of weeks. Usually it only lasts for a week at most.

But it's starting to rain, so the snow is going away.

Just in time, I think most of the people were just starting to relearn how to drive in the snow again.

If you ain't got pictures, I wasn't there.

It is a white wonderland here in Boise

The girls didn't have school yesterday but they are back at it today. I love the snow, it is so pretty.

Winter

OK so we've gotten a taste of winter this week. Although, there are many that claim we don't actually ever have what they would classify as a true winter down here. So I wonder what labels we would put on our cool, warm, hot and very hot seasons....

My guess would be a Turkish Bath: warm, hot, very hot, then cool.

A little late in the week, but

if I think of it, I'll post this in next week's chit chat thread.
New technology that grabs your cr.card info from right outside your pants and/or handbag.

This was sent to me and I thought it was worth posting. Most people don't know this technology exists or if they do they don't realize how it can be abused.

Might have to start wrapping them up in tin foil!

Shield Pouches Available At Stores

Yes, scary. Shield pouches (in effect, like tin foil but flexible and durable) have been available for purchase online for a while now, and lately I've seen them for sale in the travel accessory section of department stores. The profit margin on these items is very large, so just wait for a sale. I think the next step is to laminate the material into entire purses or wallets. This stuff does not block X-rays, so its use should not attract hand-searches at airport security.

Burrrr

The high temp here (Omaha NE) for the next three days will be 28 degrees. I waited a bit too long to schedule a chimney sweep. So I probably should not use the woodstove until Wednesday after cleaning. Thank goodness for pretend electric woodstove in the lower level. idea

Hope your week went well.
