National historical landmark. Site of the first atomic bomb test 7/16/45. This site is located on White Sands Missle Range in New Mexico. It is only open on the first Sat. in April and Oct. from 8:00 to 2:00. Follow the waypoints in order as the military is not fond of people wandering over the range.
Rocknicehunter updated the file :This updated file still contains the original POIs to get to the trinity Test Site, but added are a number of other locations of interest, including The McDonald Ranch House and an instrument bunker. Each POI now has detailed information about the location or the event itself. Much of the text is taken directly from the brochure given to site visitors.
