Update/replace City Navigator Garmin 755T with fill map on SD

Hi all -
Is there any way to replace and/or update a factory installed 2009 City Navigator Map with a "full version" 2011 Map that I have on a micro SD card?
There are only three files on the card:
-gmapsupp.gma; gmapsupp.img and gmapsupp.unl.
I tried copying all of them over to my unit's garmin folder and renamed them as gmapprom (deleted the original files)but the unit gives me an error message that it can't unlock the file (isn't the key in the gmapprom.unl file??)
Any help is appreciated!!!

If the microSD card is a preloaded Garmin map card, then the answer is "No".
The maps are locked to that card and will only work from that card.
