Pair more than one phone at once?

While waiting for my 1490T to arrive I'm reading the user manual. The Bluetooth section has me wondering...
I'll pair my phone to the unit. If I pair the phone of another person with the unit, can both phones be used at the same time, pull over the phone books, answer or send calls, etc? Of course you can't use both phones to make or receive calls at the same time, but could you answer a call from either phone while both are on, or make a call on either, or can it only use one or the other?
Never used Bluetooth before so sorry if this is a basic issue with all Bluetooth units...
Bluetooth pairing
You can pair more then one phone to a device but only one phone at a time can use it.

Multiple paired, only one active
As I understand it, while the GPSr will let you pair with multiple phones, it will only be actively connected to one at a time. If you have two phones paired, powered, and within range, it will pick one to connect to. If you disconnect that phone, it should automatically connect to the other.
Got it
That makes sense. It would be cool if in some future iteration that multiple phones can be paired and you can answer or dial out on any of the paired phones, but I guess the technology isn't there yet.

Can be paired to two phones at the same time - and you use the button on the headset to answer whichever phone rings. You can't do simultaneous conversations however...
