What is a StreetPilot c550 worth to sell?

What can I sell a StreetPilot c550 for? Thanks in advance.

What is a StreetPilot c550 worth to sell?

Maps are 2008.

Prices

Well the snarky answer is "whatever someone is willing to pay for it"! However, a quick check of eBay shows price ranges from $48 up to $140 with free shipping. Variables of course a map version, included traffic receiver, included accessories and condition.

Figure at least $48.

sell gps

I just saw a trade in policy at Radio Shack.

My Garmin C530 they would give me $16.00 if it works and $1.92 if it doesn't....

cracks me up!!!

What does Radio Shack do

What does Radio Shack do with the GPSrs that are traded in?

.

With the price you get today for used/old electronics, you're sometimes just better off keeping the device for a backup unit.

I would burn it for that kind of money. I think when I bought it I paid $500 or $550. I ended up selling it locally for $60. Thanks for all your help.

Ouch!

$500-$500!?!? Wow! I know that was about the original issue price but I never realized they actually sold at those prices. I have yet to buy a GPS when it is first released. I hate to say it but I bought my C550, with traffic receiver, brand new from Buy.com for about $163 with free shipping and a free bean bag mount back in July 2008. Just before it was discontinued by Garmin. Same with my 765T. I was stunned at the going rate when it came out but watched the price steadily drop. Then Amazon.com had a one day sale in March for brand new (not refurbished) 765T's for $184.99 with free shipping. Jumped on that one too though I am regretting it as the 3.90 firmware in the 765T is garbage.

When I bought this all the GPS units were at least $300 to $400.

Backup

Just keep it for back up for long trip

Val - Nuvi 785t and Streetpilot C340

I still have my c530

Basically, the unit works, and I have the lifetime maps. Don't see a reason to "upgrade", especially since I paid around $350 for the unit.

Maps

If you have the lifetime maps they yes it makes sense but to upgrade maps is almost as much as a new GPS.

$1

I will give you $1 for it and you pay the freight ???? Sounds like a great deal to me....

Funny how perception works, because it probably a better built unit than the junk being made today by Garmin.

I still have one and would never consider getting rid of it, instead it's in my arsenal. If it's not broke why sell it it makes a wonderful back up.
