Interstate Exits

grin Does anyone know where I can find a .csv file with all of the interstate exits in the US on it? It would be very helpful.

nope...

I haven't seen any POI files for this. It seems someone had expressed an interest in 2008 but it never took off. What specifically would you like to use it for....I know, to see where the exits are.....anything special ?

I know there's one for New Mexico

because it pestered me clear across the state until I got to a motel and removed it. There were other states also. There are a bunch in my file with the names as an example, IA_Interstate_Exits_Desc.gpx. Check POI index.

I think it is called Next Exit. It lists what is supposed to be around any Interstate exit. Now I haven't looked at the book, I saw it on the rack by the atlases in a truck stop.

I have a copy but it is about three years old. It is very good if you are looking for everthing that is at the different exits. It shows them by the different hyways. The old problem is you have to get a new one about every couple of years as so many places are closing, moving and opening it changes quite a bit on some interstate exits. If you are a good sam member you can get it at a discount from what it is in the stores.

Why do you need the CSV format?

And you can always convert the GPX files.

How?

Ok, I am pretty new to this. How would you convert the file?

You can download Extra Poi

You can download Extra Poi Editor at http://turboccc.wikispaces.com/Extra_POI_Editor . When you download the program if you get message about OCX file missing scroll down on the main page and under troubleshooting you will find the Extra Poi Editor Installer that you will need to download.

Load a gpx or csv file to it and save in the format you want.
