Why is the May 24 weekend a "long" weekend?

Memorial Day is the 31st of May (celebrated the last Monday in May).

Ohh, a Canadian holiday?

Baseball is a marathon, it's still early. The best record means nothing. We have to wait for the play offs, ask the Cleveland Cavilers.

Its just that with the Rays, I've never been able to say that this far into a season.

Its like our Tampa Bay Bucs - they'll find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Sigh... neutral But, I'll enjoy it while I can. wink

LOST

No, I'm not lost. It is my favorite TV show. Tonight at 8 central we will watch THE END. My neighbors and friends have my big screen set up in the garage with lawn chairs & picnic tables and the pickup backed up to the door. Yep. A real tailgate party starting at 6 o'clock. I have ribs from CORKYS with homemade slaw, beans & cornbread.

Ribs...from Corky's? Sounds great, spokybob! You must be in or near Memphis. But I do love the Rendezvous. smile

I hope your garage is air conditioned SpokyBob, considering today's heat and humidity there in western IL. Otherwise, you might need to throw another keg into the ice tub.

new user of this site

Hello, I drive a good 2300 miles each week. I use my Garmin 465T GPS every day. I just downloaded about 10,000 poi to my unit. State scales, CAT scales, Camera locations and I really thank somebody for all the usefull data.

Breaking in my new netbook

I just received my new HP mini 210 HD and like it very much. I got it for when I travel, as it does not take up a lot of space and it fits on the drop down airplane trays. I splurged and got the 250GB HDD, the HD Broadcom & Wireless n cards. I also installed 2GB of RAM and upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium. There was no need to get the faster microprocessor, as the bus speed on both was the same. Performance is great on this little machine.

Rendezvous

Great dry rub. I was apprehensive about trying it and now its the only ribs for me.
Sadly, 'Mr. DOWNTOWN' Charlie Vergos will be missed.
On Saturday March 27th, 2010, we sadly lost Mr. Charlie Vergos at 84.

The owner of Rendezvous will be remembered for his love of downtown, committment to community, and creation of the world-famous Rendezvous ribs

Charlie Vergos took an old coal chute from the wall of his smokey basement tavern in Downtown Memphis and created barbecure history.

Since its he first opened the doors in 1948, Charles Vergos' Rendezvous has drawn a long list of high-profile guests that included Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush and former Vice President Al Gore; and entertainers such as Bill Cosby, Justin Timberlake and Mick Jagger

Welcome to the site. I gather from the unit and number of miles you drive you must be in the transportation industry. You will want to read the FAQs and look into adding sounds and icons with your POI files. It makes driving easier when the unit alerts you about a point of interest that is approaching.
