Garmin nuvi 1490T: Are you still having problems after upgrade?

I been using my Magellan for the last 3 years and I think it's time for an upgrade...

Looking at the 1490T, but all the places that I read reviews saying it FREEZES??

To those who have this and upgraded the firmware, etc....Is it stable now????

1490T

I've had mine for about 3 months now, so far no problem. I think it's the best GPS I've ever owned.

1490T Doing Well

Upgraded my Nuvi 350s a couple of months ago to a refurbished 1490T. I've been trying to keep it routing mode when I drive to check for software bugs. Not once has it frozen, before or after the firmware upgrade to 4.0. The voice does tend to skip or pause slightly more often than the old 350s did probably because of having to update the very large screen.

1490T

I just bout one last week. So far I have not had any issues at all. Still playing with the routing on it bu everything else seems fine. No issues

I have a 1490 T and it works

I have a 1490 T and it works just fine

Perfect....

I have had one for about a month and it works perfectly. Took it on a 600 mile trip recently and loved it. Great blue tooth, bright screen, fast, etc. Recommend it highly.

Still has freeze issue

I upgraded (maps and software) and then took a trip. I had a freeze on the trip.

Still may have freezing issues

Bought new in July 2009, returned for a refurb (Garmin's choice) late 2009. This refurb unit still freezes but not at the same rate as the original unit. Seems to happen most when I switch from using on a plane to normal settings the first time I put it back in my car to use.

Freeze

My freeze took place 2 weeks ago. It was during a stop in a rest area - actually it was while pulling out of the rest area. I have rest area poi's loaded in the device. The device "was not" powered off during the stop.
