Return Policy

I drove up to Davenport IA yesterday to Super WalMart shopping for a new GPS. They did not have a display unit and the young man was not familiar with the 1350T. I asked him about the Walmart return policy, just in case the unit did not fit my needs. He looked it up. Only 15 days for refunds on all GPS units. What is the return policy for other brick and mortar stores?

Staples: 14 Days
Sams Club: 90 Days

Costco...great return policy

GPS units still have "satisfaction guaranteed" from Costco. I returned a Garmin unit after having problems with it to costco a year after purchase. They gave me a full refund. Can't beat that.

Costco.

There is only one place to buy a GPS even if it costs a few bucks more and that is Costco. Of course they may not always have the one you want. Keep checking though....

Costco is thinking about

Be careful about recommending Costco as a place where you can return GPS's freely. Costco is thinking about changing their GPS return policy to 90 days nationwide just like TV's and computers. Here in the Chicago area Costco has REFUSED some returns from some of their customers who bought GPS's. This is a case by case basis.

Take Advantage!

I am sure there are those that will take advantage of their return policy whenever they can. New model comes out...take back the old one and get a new one. I personally believe 90 days is being gracious enough...

Just Get Extra Warranty/Guarantee..!!

Don't know about Costco, but I always spend the extra couple of dollars $$$ and get the additional warranty/guarantee.. which gives me a additional two years piece of mind on top of the factory 1 year.

You never can tell what might happen to the unit in that time..!! wink

I'm not really lost.... just temporarily misplaced!

same here. I always look for

same here. I always look for the authorized dealer/seller that offers an extended warranty. You need the extended warranty in case it breaks since the lifetime maps won't update if your unit breaks.
