Suggestion for site (current map version)

I have a suggestion for the site:
Like we have "My Favorite Files" --- I'd like to make a suggestion for the Site....
Add a new Bullet point: "Current Map Release" with the current Lifetime map release version number and Date of release displayed.... This way, we can instantly determine what the latest Lifetime Map release is, and what date it was released....
So it could look like this:
Lifetime Maps NT2011.10 -- April 20, 2010

Having only recently gotten my own GPS and being active on this site, I think this would be a fine addition.
There would seem to be space in the right hand pane below the "report an enforcement camera" entry for something like "GPS map versions"
Like a POI file, there are likely several members qualified to keep the data up-to-date if the link were there.
Mary Ann and Jon, my assessment as a past-life data processing manager is that this would distinguish this site from others by being known as the most "user friendly".

Why not just put it into your signature file? It'd be a lot easier and you can customise it the way you want.

Jon and I are actually discussing this and determining where to put this info on the site.
Sometimes I make quick judgments when I need to be looking at the whole picture.

Great!... BUT
Great ideal but why not take it farther by listing all pertained or needed files?
Example:
POI Loader... Current release
Extra POI editor... Current release
TTS Voice Editor... Current release
and such, This would be a great help and time saver!

Perhaps a page listing manufacturer and current mapset information (eg....):
Garmin: 2010.40
Magellan: x.xx.x
Navteq: y.yy.y
TomTom: z.zz.z
It'd be handy to have that available "at a glance" and in one location.
