Map Sale (at magellangps.com)

The maps have gone on sale again. http://www.magellangps.com/products/map.asp?tab=0&PRODID=219...

I assume this is the usual sale before the release of the new maps. I'm hoping the new ones aren't a SD card. I had so many problems with the SD card maps I quit using them, just made my GPS too slow and very buggy.

Wrong strategy?

They better issue a new map soon. Their "newest" map is about equal to Garmin's 2010.10 that came preloaded on my Nuvi 1250T. And don't to mention models (4350 & 4370) that are not even compatible with the 2009 Spring Map. I like Magellan units but if they don't change something regarding their map policy, I don't think I'll even consider their products as an option for me in the future.

I'm with you on this one. I have a 4350 and have a residence in Central Florida. The maps on the unit do not reflect the changes made to I-4 in Orlando. I too like my Magellan, but unless I can get a map update in the next few months, I'm seriously considering getting a new one from either Garmin or TomTom.

.

Got to like Magellan's $27 'shipping fee' as well.
