Magellan 1700 help Thanks all

Thanks to all for responses yesterday about RoadMate Tools software. Magellan tech support today said the 1700 will not allow POI uploads to the unit. Wish I knew that before I bought it! Sorry I won't be able to use all the wonderful stuff from this site. Thanks anyway...

That might be true but they have been known to give some flat wrong answers in the past. Before you give up completely, I'd suggest calling them again so that you talk to somebody different.

Also you might want to do a web search and see if you can find any other forums that cater more to Magellan. (The one(s) on Yahoo are worthless.)

What if I have CoPilot Truck software installed on my 1700?

I'm looking to get the Roadmate 1700 for our RV and I intend on purchasing the CoPilot Truck software that will run on the 1700. With that installed, can the POIs from this site be loaded? Thanks
