Proclip for 760

Has anybody used the center Proclip for the Nuvi 760 in a CR-V 2008?
I have used Proclip before but in the pics it looks like the unit is partially obscured by the steering wheel.

thanks
Paul

but I can offer an alternative mounting idea for your consideration

I have a 2002 CR-V, and I mounted the dash mounting disc, on the inside of the "tailgate" style dash compartment door.

I don't know if they retained this in the 2008 model or not.

this allows me to use the suction cup inverted from the normal use, and attach it to the disc.

there are a couple advantages to this:

1. when you leave the vehicle, you can remove the nuvi, and close the dash door. The suction cup portion can be stowed under the seat, concealing the fact that there is any GPS mount whatsoever. Just take the nuvi with you, or stash it under the seat as well.

2. no windshield "ring" to alert thieves

3. lower mounting position, is still within easy reach, and cuts glare on the screen

4. high enough to safely glance at the screen, but completely out of your driving line of sight.

works great for my 765T
