Guidance/Status

When I set Navigation/Voice Prompts, on my NUVI 350, I get a choice of None, Guidance Only and Guidance/Status.
Needless to say, the Garmin manual is slightly lacking (well, totally lacking) about this. I can understand Guidance, but what is Status supposed to advise me about?

I don't have an answer, I think my nuvi 350 is set for Guidance/Status.

Depends on how annoying the notice is, my setting us normally on Guidance/Status as well.
