Hmmm

Not sure how this is working in Maryland, but they seem to be installing more and more of the cameras there. Guess they have a better enforcement strategy?

Hilarious

I think it's quite hilarious that they've collected less than 29% of the expected revenue. I'd like to see that number compared to the number of tickets paid that are served in-person by police officers. I'm sure not going to skip out on paying a ticket served in-person, but I would definitely not pay a photo ticket if I got one, just as it seems the majority of motorists have not. Keep up the rebellion, Arizona!

Hillsboro, Oregon

Let's hope Hillsboro, Oregon catches on to this before signing a minimum revenue contract with Redflex for its upcoming new installation...

Maryland

Both extremes are readily visible. Hostiles in the UK have damaged/destroyed the speed cameras. Obedient folks pay the tickets from simple mailings.

The vast majority, apparently just ignore it until forced to do so.

Firm believer in following the law. But that also means that the government agencies need to follow the law too. If they want the tickets paid, then have the tickets "served" not sent through the general mail to save "them" some money.

Our friends at Redflex have done it to us for a long time by THEM breaking the law, it's nice to see it hitting back in THEIR pocket book! See how they did it ... right here in 'River City':

It's interesting that our forcast on December of 2008 was, considering the chance of getting served vs the cost of the ticket, that most people would would take the chance they would not get served.

California Speed Cameras?

Our fearless governor has come up with a bright idea....maybe his first! Authorize the use of 500 speed cameras and collect $370 million dollars. Sounds like he has been smoking funny cigarettes again.
