Redlight warning not going off is one of my Nuvi's.

I have had a 765T for a while. Recently, I bought the 265WT for my wife. I used the POI uploader to load redlight and speed camera POI's into the 265WT. I followed the exact same procedure as the 765T. The files appeared to have loaded without problems. There were no error messages. But when I tested the unit by driving it past an intersection with redlight camera, no warning of any kind was given. I thought I might heard a "ding", but definitely no voice or visual warning. I tried again with 765T, and warning was correctly given as ususal.

Any suggestions? Is there so sort of setting that must be enabled in the 265WT?

You'll need to ensure they are enabled by going to Tools | Settings | Proximity Points, and putting in a checkmark.

No MP3.

2x5 series does not have MP3 capability. Your alerts will need to be .WAV files loaded in POI Loader using the SOX.EXE utility.

I have a 265wt and no special settings if the download went correctly.Touch the one you didn't get alert for.You should see on the gps screen alert information distance 0.2 mi.If not there will give some idea where to look for problem.

I had this problem when I got my 255WT and the good members here told me what to do, may not be your problem but saved me a lot of frustration. You possibly uploaded another POI file after you loaded the RedLight POI? If you did then you erased the redlight poi file. You have to make one folder (name it whatever you want mine is mypoi) and then put all the different POI files inside that folder with each being in their own subfolder. Then you upload the main folder and manually check each POI when it comes on the screen in the poi loader. If you want to change the boing to a voice I think you have to have the sox.exe program also at least I did for the 255WT.
