TTS Speech Doctor and Windows 7

This has probably already been discussed, but I couldn't find it with several searches.

Is TTS Speech Doctor compatible with 64-bit Windows 7? When I try to run it I get an error that TABCTL32.OCX isn't registered. I assume it is a 32-bit file.

OCX File

There is more than one OCX file that may be causing problems. Have you tried the suggestion here:

32-bit vs 64-bit

The files in that thread seem to be 32-bit. I am running 64-bit Windows 7 Home, so don't have XP compatibility mode.

I'm running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. I tried to run the program in compatibility mode, but kept receiving the same error as you did. Finally I googled for the missing file and downloaded it from: http://www.ocxdump.com/download-ocx-files_new.php/ocxfiles/T... I manually copied the file into windows/systemWOW64 folder and this solved the problem.

I'll Give it a Try

Thanks. I'll give that a try tonight. Now if I could just find a 64-bit driver for my Nintendo WiFi Adapter!!

Didn't work for me.

I downloaded TABCTL32.OCX and put it in that folder, but I get the same error. I also tried putting it in the same folder as TTS Speech Doctor, but that didn't work either.

I also is having problem in getting TTS_speech Doc to run in Win7x64. Did what hercegovac suggested, but still it will not launch.

Error message "Component TABCTL32.OCX or one of its dependencies not correctly registered:a file is missing or invalid."

Did you run it in WinXP compatibility mode after adding the OCX? Has anyone found a way to make it run?
