Have you turned off your virus software and firewalls?

No I didnt. Good idea. Should i download again after I do this?

Assuming your downloaded file is about 2.16GB in size, turn off the antivirus and firewall, then try running the program you've already downloaded. If you use MS Vista, you may also want to turn off Vista's UAC to speed the installation process. With UAC on, your computer may appear to be frozen for a few minutes--be patient and it'll run.

If you again get the communication error, you may try downloading the file again and give it a try, although I doubt that this is the problem.

Shout back if it works or doesn't work. Be sure to turn your virus and firewall back on after you're done as well as UAC if you wish to keep UAC on.

Of course, run this download with your GPS connected to your computer and with an active internet connection

Also check to make sure you have sufficient free space on your C: drive for the extract and install. It can temporarily take 6 GB or more to complete the install. Although with 2010.30, you can point the install target to a different drive, it still takes some space on C: for temporary files.

After shutting down the anti virus program and fire wall it worked perfectly. First time this happened to me.
