SD Memory Card & 765T

I can't find any answer as to why my Garmin 765T can't see or read my SD Memory Card
I've tried to load pictures and MP3's directly to the card thru Microsoft Explorer, that doesn't work. I've tried to use the POI loader to transfer to the card and no luck. I'm sure I'm missing something simple.
I see the files on the SD when in Explorer, but the GPS doesn't see them.

Don't know about 765 but I have to do a reset for my 855 to recpognize the Sd card, takes about a minute to recognize and scan it.

nuvi 855. Life is not fair. I don't care who told you it is.

One little thing

One little thing they don't tell you is the SD card has to mimic the Garmin file structure. You need a \Garmin folder and then create POI, GPX, and Media as folders under the Garmin folder. MP3's and pictures to the media folder.

SD Memory Card

Thanks, but can you go a little deeper with your explaination? What do you mean by a\Garmin folder?

In the root

In the root layer of the disk you put folders,or in the realm of Unix and older operating systems - directories. The root directory must have a folder or directory named Garmin. The notation is a single backslash denoting the root directory and the directory name indicating it is a first level. Other directories - or folders are created in this parent so you hav \Garmin\POI or \Garmin\Media. It's the sam structure from your device.

In the root

Thanks, I understand now. Its been so long that I've used Windows that I forgot all about DOS and the drive letters with the slash. Thanks again.
