Hi All,
My iPhone geotags the photos I take and is giving me the longitude and latitude in this format:
exif:GPSLatitude 37,20.31N
exif:GPSLongitude 121,57.02W
How do I convert these coordinated to the format used on my Nuvi 670 & 880?
Specifically longitude -XXX.XXXXX and latitude XX.XXXXX.
Thanks for your time.

I think on your nuvi there
I think on your nuvi there is a part on the screen that you can enter coordinates. You can change the format and enter these numbers
I’m still confused...

Hi gdlcjr,
I’m still confused by the “coordinate format“ in the Exif data from the iPhone photo and how to enter it in the Nuvi. The three formats on the Nuvi don’t work with “these“ coordinates.
37,20.31N
121,57.02W
What format is this and how do I convert it to one of the three formats, the Nuvi understands? Whenever I enter the coordinates, the Nuvi needs one more number in the field I don’t have...
Thanks for your time.

.
My guess is that you need to take the comma out and replace it with a space.
The coordinates become 37 20.31N, 121 57.02W which is DEGREES and DECIMAL MINUTES
Which coverts to
37.338500, -121.950333 which is DECIMAL DEGREES
or
N37° 20' 18.60", W121° 57' 1.20" which is DEGREES MINUTES SECONDS
North and East are positive numbers.
South and West are negative numbers.
