My POI Manager

Has anyone had any experience with My POI Manager software? The link is below.

Just wondering if it was worth trying out.

Why not try it and let us know?

Why don't you install it and let us know if it is worth the trouble. EPE does almost everything I need.

Basic

Perfect for the beginners looking for a simple and clean software to create and manage POIs.

Pros:
+ Free
+ Nice interface
+ Cool to share POIs
+ Manage categories

Con's
- Basic features

GEEPEX or Extra POI Editor

I would be inclined to use one of these. GEEPEX is about $20 US, but has a much larger map and satellite map than Extra POI.

However, Extra POI exports in more formats and is FREE.

Considering that most people on this site use either of these two, I think it's the best bet, if you want to get into making your own.

It looks like they might want to sell you POIs after, which means you could start getting all sorts of emails.

POI Factory is all free.

Tomtom not listed

I just made a file with 96 POI's. My tomtom (VIA) is not listed at top so I can not install them. Tried using EPE but it doesn't work right on my computer.

Thread Necromancy

You do realize that we all responded to a four year old thread, right? The software that was the subject of the thread no longer exists.

@navycop: What do you mean when you say EPE doesn't work right on your computer? What operating system do you have?

Operating System is windows 7

EPE comes up in the tray, but won't let me open it to the main screen. Works fine on my other computer. I have to create files on one computer, save to a thumbdrive and open them in the other one to get them to work on my tomtom.

Re-install the full package running it as administrator. It's probably a user rights issue.
